Yanikomeroglu Halim Yanikömeroğlu is a full professor in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. His research interests cover many aspects of wireless technologies with special emphasis on cellular networks. He has coauthored more than 80 IEEE journal papers on wireless technologies. His collaborative research with industry has resulted in about 25 patents (granted and applied). He is a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Communications Society and Distinguished Speaker for the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society

CemErsoy-2012 Cem Ersoy received the BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1984 and 1986, respectively. He worked as a R&D engineer in NETAS A.S., Istanbul, between 1984 and 1986. He received the PhD in electrical engineering from Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY, in 1992. Since then, he has been a Professor of computer engineering and the leader of the Wireless Sensor Networks Research Group at Bogazici University. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, activity recognition and ambient sensing for healthcare, urban and participatory sensing with smartphones, green networking and smart grid communications. Dr. Ersoy is the Chairman of the IEEE Communications Society Turkish Chapter. He is a senior member of the IEEE.

ilker İlker Demirkol received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from the Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1998, 2001, and 2008, respectively. He is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in telematics engineering with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain, where he works on wireless networks, including wireless mesh, ad hoc, and sensor networks, along with wake-up radio systems.

yunusdonmez Mehmet Yunus Dönmez received the BS degree in mathematics and the MS and PhD degrees in computer engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1999, 2003, and 2011, respectively. He has been currently working as an R&D engineer in NETAS A.S., Istanbul, since 2013. He worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Mathematics, Bogazici University, from 1999 to 2011, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Computer Engineering in the same university, from 2011 to 2013. His research interests include design and analysis of QoS-aware cross-layer algorithms/protocols for wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, performance evaluation in computer networks, mission critical wireless sensor networks.

eonur_photo-4-232x300 Ertan Onur received the BSc degree in computer engineering from Ege University, Izmir, Turkey in 1997, and the MSc and PhD degrees in computer engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2001 and 2007, respectively. After obtaining his PhD degree, he worked as an assistant professor at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. From 2014 on, he is an associate professor at Middle East Technical University, Turkey.  He was the editor/convenor of the Personal Networks Group of Ecma International Standardization Body. Dr. Onur’s research interests are in the area of computer and wireless networks and their security. He is the founder of the Wireless Systems, Networks and Cybersecurity (WINS) laboratory at METU. Dr. Onur is a member of IEEE and ACM.
